Make a trip to Greensboro, Ga. for one of our signature events at Lake Oconee. Every month there are things to do at Lake Oconee for you and your family, a date night, or a fun time with friends. Children will enjoy our many events at The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, and summer events at Lake Oconee help to beat the heat. Georgia’s Lake country is located only an hour from Atlanta, and is convenient for most of middle Georgia. Get out of town and drive on down to Greensboro, Georgia for a weekend to enjoy one of our concerts, tasting events or car shows. Be sure to catch our favorite Christmas treat, the December promenade.

Linger Longer Express
The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation
All aboard The Linger Longer Express! Explore the grounds of The Ritz-Carlton Lodge with a ten minute tour of the property in our very own Linger Longer Express train which departs from the front drive daily. Reservations are recommended.

Run For Your Lives
Durhamtown Plantation
March 3rd
Run for Your Lives, will take participants through a series of obstacles over a 5K course, all while being chased by zombies. Racers, wearing a flag football-like belt with three flags, must make strategic choices to find the quickest route to the finish line with at least one flag to complete the race as a survivor. Survivors and newly-created “zombies” – those who finish without flags – will be able to celebrate following the event at the Apocalypse Party, which will feature live, local entertainment, music, vendors, food, beverages, and of course, zombies. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will be onsite to educate the public about preparedness in case of emergency or zombie invasion. For tips on how to prepare for a zombie apocalypse in advance of the race, visit the CDC’s website. Lake Oconee Food & Wine Festival
The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation
March 23rd and March 24th
Georgia's Lake Country welcomes back the third annual Lake Oconee Food & Wine Festival to The Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation. On Friday, March 23rd, the festival will feature a Vintner Dinner in the Linger Longer Ballroom. On Saturday, March 24th, be sure to purchase your tickets early to enter the main event- the food and wine festival! Springtime in Greensboro welcomes the town's heritage arts festival, Southland Jubilee from 9am-5pm, Saturday, April 21st. The 14th annual event features a juried arts and crafts marketplace, live entertainment, heritage demonstrations, food, children's activities, antique tractors, and of course a classic car show-- all in the streets of Downtown Greensboro!
Ivan Parker and Bill Gaither in a Southern Gospel Concert

The group will be performing under the Miller-Brown/OPAS Orchestra Shell!
