Guy Time

Let’s hear it for the boys! Greensboro has the best locations for some manly bonding time with the guys.

Day 1

If you’re looking to unplug and get in some quality bro-time, we recommend staying off the beaten path and renting a cabin at the Durhamtown Off Road Resort. This is the perfect accommodation for the guys to kick back and relax!

  • Cheers to the weekend
  • On your way to Durhamtown you will pass through downtown Greensboro, home to Oconee Brewing Company. They just opened their doors in May 2017 and are open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays for tastings and tours. They usually have entertainment set up as well. Try the Kolsch, a Habanero Pale Ale, or a Dunkelweizen while you hang out in the newly renovated building that used to be part of a cotton mill.

  • Get some grub
  • There aren’t too many restaurants near Durhamtown so make sure to grab pizza and wings from Amici’s Lake Oconee on your way in to take back to your cabin with you. The food will definitely hit the spot and be perfect after your brewery beer!

Day 2

Gear up for a day of fun and adventure today! Day two is full of surprises.

  • Down and dirty
  • Today, you’re not leaving the resort. Make some bacon and eggs in your cabin, and get outside because you’re taking on the tracks of Durhamtown Off Road Resort! Rent a dirt bike, ATV, and Side x Sides for the day, and enjoy the feeling of fresh air and freedom.

  • Lunch and lounge
  • Grab a bite to eat at Bevelyn’s Restaurant at the resort, and head to the cabin to clean up and rest before the night begins!

  • Time to fiesta
  • Get dressed for dinner and take a drive to Jalisco Mexican Grill for enchiladas and margaritas. This restaurant offers delicious food and a fun atmosphere.

Day 3

Today is all about meat. That may sound strange, but it’s going to be a good time!

  • On the hunt
  • Durhamtown isn’t just for adrenaline junkies; it’s also the perfect option for outdoorsmen and hunters. At Durhamtown, you can hunt deer, hogs and turkey depending on the season. There’s also a skeet shooting range if you’re trying to work on your shot!

  • BBQ for the boys
  • The last stop on your Greensboro getaway is Holcomb’s Bar-B-Que. The original Holcomb’s is located in White Plains near Durhamtown and is as authentic as you can get when it comes to BBQ. This is a local favorite and must try.
